First Responder Support
Copart has built a strong reputation as a community partner to organizations that provide protection for citizens
Copart is proud to offer our unique, spacious locations and on-site vehicles to first responders to practice life-saving skills and techniques in a real-world training atmosphere. Fifty-seven percent of Copart locations partner with their local law enforcement or fire departments and provide space for trainings and courses.
We are honored to contribute our space, so that our community heroes may advance their skills and response. The photo here highlights Copart’s Sikeston, Missouri location who hosted the Scott County Police Department for a tactical training. Read more on TeamCopart.com >

Law Enforcement
Police K-9 units often utilize Copart facilities for trainings that teach their young police dogs how to detect explosives or illegal narcotics.
The trainings also allow handlers to practice real-time techniques that help apprehend criminals and keep our communities safe.

Fire Departments
Copart not only donates our land for first responders, but we often donate vehicles for teams to practice on in staged emergency situations. Fire departments and rescue teams practice using powered rescue tools, such as the Jaws of Life or metal cutters, on high-strength alloy vehicles to simulate vehicle extraction. Whether it’s hosting the Elgin Fire Department at Copart Chicago North or practicing extrication at Copart Tanner, Copart welcomes our heroes to utilize our yards for their department training.
We are proud to assist our first responders and other agencies by providing a safe practice environment for training. If you are a first responder who is interested in conducting training at a Copart location, we invite you to contact the General Manager of your nearest Copart location.
