Inspection Safety Rules and Guidelines
When visiting a Copart facility to inspect a vehicle in person, be sure to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe visit.

Always be aware of loaders and heavy equipment operating.

Safety vests and closed-toe shoes are required at all times.

Buyers are allowed in designated sale rows only.

Inspection is limited to vehicles currently listed for sale.

Tools of any kind, including diagnostic code readers, are not allowed in the yard. See a staff member if you need assistance with a vehicle.

As a safety precaution, please do not attempt to start a vehicle without a Copart employee.

Vehicles cannot be test driven.

In addition to reviewing a vehicle’s photos and details on our website or mobile app, there are a variety of vehicle reports available through Copart to give you a more complete picture of a vehicle’s history. These include AutoCheck and Vehicle Condition Reports. Accessing these vehicle history reports can give you more peace of mind about your potential purchase.
