In Montana, dealers, dismantlers, general businesses and exporters are recommended to provide Copart an operational license, a sales tax license and sales tax exemption forms. This expands bidding eligibility for those looking to buy in states that do require licenses.
Dealer licenses are issued by the Montana Motor Vehicle Division, Title and Registration Bureau and include the following:
- Used Motor Vehicle Dealer
- Used Trailers
- Used Quadricycles
- Used Special Mobile Equipment
- And more
You can obtain a Motor Vehicle Wrecking Facility License, a dismantler license, from the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.
