Copart Celebrates Veterans
Copart thrives on the principles instilled by our veteran founder, Willis Johnson.
Copart has a personal commitment to our United States veterans, & reservists and we encourage those who have served in our military to apply for open positions in their regions. From Leadership Development Programs to tuition reimbursement, and even paid leave for military training, Copart offers career growth opportunities and programs that help veterans excel post-service.
Copart’s commitment to veterans and the contribution they make to Copart were recently recognized by the Lifetime TV show “Military Makeover with Montel Williams” in a segment titled “Copart: The Art of the Wheel,” as part of their Operation Careers project.
The segment features many of the veterans currently working at Copart, and why they have chosen to make Copart their careers after serving their country.
Copart Fully Supports Its Active Duty Military Personnel

Copart also supports active duty military team members like Copart Little Rock Assistant General Manager Brian Anible who recently received the E-9 grade and promotion to Chief Master Sergeant in the Air National Guard. This is the top 1% of the entire enlisted force of the military, which is 90% of the total force.
He achieved this honor while working full-time as a valued leader at his Copart location in Arkansas.
Copart is proud to have an employee honored with the Patriot Award by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Regional Manager of the Carolinas Don Purdy was recognized for his longtime support of Copart Lumberton General Manager Anthony Morris who enlisted in the North Carolina National Guard just one year into his career at Copart.
“Unlike many of my peers in the National Guard, I can attend training with no fear of consequence from Copart. Training may require several days of missed work, but I have never received anything other than support. This award highlights the great culture and leadership of Don and the Copart Family,” said Anthony.
Copart offers up to 2 weeks of paid time off for training and non-active-duty orders.

Veteran Recognition and Awards
Our founder, Willis Johnson, served during Vietnam as a forward observer in the 1st Infantry Division of the Army Rangers. To honor Willis’ legacy, every Veterans Day Copart celebrates our veterans with a special video message, recognition and customized gifts in appreciation of their contribution to our country and Copart.
Copart is proud to be nominated for the Secretary of Defense Employee Support Freedom Award and named a two-time American Business Award winner for Veteran-Owned Business of the Year, and we pledge to continue our support of veterans through charity, employment and acknowledgement.
